Outdoors
Surrounded by the arid and barren beauty of the desert, Tucson has abundant recreational opportunities for all ages. Saguaro National Park and Sabino Canyon each offer unique sights for adventurous hikers. No matter what difficulty of hike or walk you choose to take, be sure to bring along plenty of water and sunscreen to combat bright sun and high temperatures.

Culture
Theater is one of Tucson's great cultural mainstays, a dark and cool retreat from the blazing heat that envelops the city year-round. These theaters range in size from the massive Rialto Theatre to the tiny Invisible Theatre. Tucson also holds major state attractions including the Pima Air and Space Museum and the Arizona-Sonora Desert Museum. To get away from the normal run of sights, make the trip north to see Biosphere 2, a fully enclosed replica of Earth's environment once used as a research facility.
