Very Nice Store

Posted byGuest G.on 8/24/2009

I had a great experience today at this store. I brought some clothing in to trade and a very nice buyer bought some, which discounted my purchase. I found a handful of things for myself and my daughter and a beautiful sterling bracelet for my mom.

Bad clothes, Bad prices, Bad Buying

During my college years, I spent a lot of time trying to sell clothes and buy used clothes. This took me to most Twice-As-Nice Stores, as well as thrift stores and Buffalo Exchange. If you're looking for used clothing, go to a thrift store. Tucson is full of them. Their selection rotates and they tend to have some decent stuff. Twice as Nice, however, has old, dated, heavily used clothes, and they seem to WANT it that way. They have NEVER bought anything from me, wven when Buffalo Exchange (very trendy stuff) took most of it!I don't know what market Twice as Nice is trying to reach, but it is obviously not young women. Don't even bother.

Better for kids clothes

Twice as Nice has a decent selection of kids and infant clothes and accessories but the adult section is quite hit or miss. I feel like a lot of the adult clothes are kind of dirty, dated or heavily used. If you are looking to get rid of clothes, be aware that they don't have very good cash exchange rates, you get a lot more in trade.

Wost place to go when you are selling

I have had the worst experience with this company. I take in almost new clothes, some are brand new with tags still on em as well. They end up handing them back to me and saying they are not interested in them. I ask why not as they are new and they say its not what they are looking for. I can't get them to tell me what they are looking for. After looking over the merchandise in the store, I have to say that my stuff would of flown out of there. They had used stuff that was so aweful, I couldn't believe someone would buy it. Then if that wasn't bad enough, they price for more than what it would cost new. I am not sure how they train the buyers/pricers in this store. But I can only imagine it will be a matter of time before they are out of business. I know I won't be shopping there at all. I can buy the same stuff new at a cheaper price at a department store. Just be warned before you walk in there, you need to ensure you are willing to buy something that is way over priced for being used.
